Fellinger’s Red Meat Wagon Opens New 13th Avenue Location

Fellinger’s Red Meat Wagon is celebrating the grand opening of its new shop at 3524 13th Avenue, just in time for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival kicking off May 22.

The family-run business will serve bratwurst, hotdogs, and smokies during the festival, and feature limited-edition prints of The Spirit of 13th Avenue by local artist Arnie Tiefenbach.

The retro-style shop—complete with tiled floors, vintage lights, and diner décor—has been a fixture on 13th Avenue since 1979. Owners Kurt and Dianne Fellinger have more than 75 years’ combined experience in the meat and deli business.

Known for specialty cuts, homemade Ukrainian dinners, and award-winning products from local suppliers like Drake Meat Processors, the Fellingers say their focus has always been on variety and quality. “We support small and local businesses—and they support us,” said Kurt.

After three moves along 13th Avenue, the Fellingers say they’re here to stay. “We want to be where our customers are,” Kurt added.
